शुक्लाम्बरधरम विष्णुम शशि वर्णं चतुर्भुजम
प्रसन्न वदनं ध्यायेत सर्व विघ्नोपशान्तये
Word to word meanings: Shukla = whilte; ambara = cloth/garment; dharam = wearing; vishnum = pervading or omni-present; shashi = moon (who has a spot resembling a rabbit); varnam = color; chatur = four; bhujam = arms; prasanna = smiling; vadanam = face; dhayet = I worship upon; sarva = all; vighna = obstacles; upashantaye = revomes or abates.
Meaning: I worship upon Lord Ganesha, who is clad in white garment, who is pervading, who is as bright as the color of moon, who has four arms, who has a smiling face, and the one who is the remover of all obstacles.
